Standardization on oleuropein and polyphenols content:
Benolea® is standardized on the key constitutens oleuropein and polyphenols. Oleuropein is a chemical compound with proven blood pressure lowering effects, in synergy with other compounds of the multicomponent system. By ensuring gentle processing, Frutarom standardizes on the basis of oleuropein rather than its break down product hydroxytyrosol. Just like oleuropein, hydroxytyrosol is an antioxidant agent, but has no proven beneficial effect on blood pressure. To ensure the high antioxidant activity that supports the cardiovascular health, Benolea® is also standardized on polyphenols content.
